MacroWorks ========== MacroWorks is a brillant program written by Beagle Brothers. I won't bore you with a long explantion of this program, but rather a brief synopsis of its contents and applications. Boot the disk and then Run MacroWorks from the Main Menu. Now you are given something that looks like AppleWorks. Choose option '1' (Enhance Appleworks) from the main menu and then choose option '1' (Update Appleworks Disk). Hit return when it asks you to put in disk with the file MACRO., and then insert your Appleworks Boot Disk in Drive 1 and it will update Appleworks. Ok, now you have updated your Appleworks disk! You may be saying, "Yeah, What in the heck will this damn program do for me?" Macroworks is kind of like the macros in AE, The real power in Macroworks is its ability to combine many Appleworks commands in a single command. Using the SOLID-APPLE and another key will do this all for you. All of the macros are contained in an APPLEWORKS WORD PROCESSOR file that you can modify, the file is called MACROS.AWP. Here is an example of the power of Macroworks: Isn't putting superscripts and subscripts a real bitch? With Macroworks it's a snap. All you do is SOLID-APPLE + for Superscripts and SOLID-APPLE - for Subscripts. (Note: You will need to program these in. The only SOLID-APPLE commands that Macroworks will accept are between START and STOP in the MACROS.AWP. I suggest that you print out the MACROS file and this will serve as a guide. ) Ok? The commands are placed between START and STOP in the text file and are in the following format: (ASCII character used with SOLID-APPLE):Numbers or characters as input for Appleworks(@ signals the end of the Macro) Another example: A:@ This will allow you to go to ADD FILES in one keystroke, SOLID-APPLE A N:MacroWorks is Great!@ This will do a return, print "MacroWorks is Great!" and do another return. You can modify and create you own macros.
